okay, so during first trimester if you would have asked me, i would have told you being pregnant is the worst. but this second trimester thing... i kinda love.
me likey:
- i love that little bump. i love seeing it. i love when other people see it - everyone smiles at you. it's like an instant friendly understanding. "oh, you're pregnant, you take my place at the front of the line." "you're pregnant? let me hold the elevator for you." (we know that doesn't happen often.. who really wants to be in an elevator with a stranger? but if you're pregnant.. suddenly you are not really a stranger anymore). and i LOVE how steve is just smitten by it. seeing this bump is like the best part of his day.
- waistband jeans. seriously, ladies. WHY are we not wearing these all day, everyday? pregnant or not. it's like going back in time to your childhood days and the ease of running to the bathroom at the very last second so you didn't miss a minute of play. the waistband really helps with that. but in my case its the frequency more than the missing out thing where the waistband comes in handy.
- also. buying new clothes. because you have to. i love new clothes. even if they are maternity. also. buying new things. that part hasn't really started yet.. but you know my "want" list is growing everyday.
- feeling baby kick! this. this. is my favorite. although at times a little strange and uncomfortable i still can't believe those little movements are coming from my {our} lil' one. and to go along with that.. seeing baby kick in the ultrasound! i have no words. it's just simply the most amazing feeling to see her in there...
- nausea. luckily for me that part ended after week 14. but i still remember it, well.
- heart burn. this one has only just begun. tums are like candy these days.
- getting up in the middle of the night. every night. so i can stumble into the bathroom.
- not being able to sleep like i use to. i know, this is just the beginning.
- cankles.

Yay for being pregnant! I loved it, too. And amen to elastic waistbands! You are so cute with your little baby bump and will be an even cuter mama!
Strangers are even more friendly when you have a little tiny with you everywhere you go. They see that little girl, and all of a sudden those rude walmart check-out ladies (at least that's how they are here) are all smiles.
Liz I'm so sad I never see you and so we need to play again soon and also I want to see your cute pregnant bump! :) I'm so excited for you!
Love it all! This is so exciting!
tendie. I'd like to see your growing baby bump, too! when?
amen sis. can't wait for little Ms. N. S. Dalton!
You are so lucky that they have cute maternity clothes now. When I was preggers with all three of my kids, maternity clothes were INSANE expensive and only at a few stores. And only a few of them had cute ones, usually the even more expensive places. Now you can find it everywhere and waay cute.
i love your baby bump too! and i agree that stretchy pants are oh so comfy....even right after the babe comes! LOL! i'm so excited that you can feel her now....so cool! love ya to pieces!
I was just thinking today how there is this little part of me that misses being pregnant. Especially being about 6 or 7 months. You have a bump but its not huge, you aren't sick anymore, but you aren't super uncomfortable either. I love that stage. It's all such a miracle. And the baby at the end is just priceless!
